Additional Milwaukee Bucks Info

The Milwaukee Bucks were founded in 1968 as an NBA expansion team. Their last-place finish in their inaugural season earned them the first pick in the 1969 NBA draft, which they used to select Lew Alcindor (later known as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar). With Alcindor, Milwaukee improved dramatically in their second season. The following season future Hall of Fame point guard Oscar Robertson came on board and the Milwaukee Bucks coasted through the post-season to win the 1971 NBA Championship.

Milwaukee qualified for the playoffs in each of the following 3 seasons, and returned to the NBA Championship Finals in 1974, where they lost to the Boston Celtics. In the off-season, Robertson retired and Abdul-Jabbar went to the Lakers.

A reconfigured Bucks team led by head coach Don Nelson and forward Marques Johnson would make 12 straight playoff appearances starting in the 1979–1980 season. After a 7-year post-season drought, Milwaukee Bucks Ticket Holders were thrilled to see the team return to the playoffs in the 1999–2000 season. In 2001, the Bucks advanced to another Eastern Conference finals appearance, but lost to the Philadelphia 76ers.

In 2014, the team posted the worst record in the NBA and won a franchise-low 15 games. However, during the following season, Milwaukee Bucks Ticket Holders saw the team stage a rather remarkable comeback and return to the playoffs under the guidance of new head coach and former Net, Jason Kidd.

During the 2016–2017 season, the Bucks returned to post-season play thanks to the development of versatile wing Giannis Antetokounmpo. Although Milwaukee improved with Antetokounmpo, the team’s management grew frustrated with Kidd’s coaching style, and Kidd was fired during the 2017–2018 season.

Milwaukee Bucks play all home games at Fiserve Forum. Bucks fans can get tickets to see their beloved team from Golden Tickets.
